Grants.gov @ Tufts

Grants.gov is a web portal which replaces paper applications with electronic forms. All applications to federal funding agencies must be submitted electronically through this web portal by the Office of Research Administration.* Grants.gov then electronically forwards received applications to the respective funding agency (NIH and others). Grants.gov itself is NOT a funding agency.

(*For NSF applications, the Office of Research Administration recommends that NSF FastLane be used although Grants.gov also accepts NSF applications.)

Please note: American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) proposals are submitted via Grants.gov, although ARRA supplements may be submitted via paper - please check with your ORA associate director for confirmation.

Anyone at Tufts planning to submit an application for federal funding should read and review material on the following carefully:

  1. To download grant application package
  2. To complete the grant application package
  3. To complete the proposal process

Sample forms and other helpful resources are available here.

Please note: Tufts University is registered as an institution at Grants.gov, and has a username and password that is reserved for use by the Office of Research Administration (ORA) for the purpose of submitting proposals. Individual researchers are not required to have a username and password in order to use Grants.gov to download and complete applications prior to submission via ORA.
